Downtown, Springfield and North Jacksonville
The best way to describe the communities of Downtown and Springfired in recent years is that each area is undergoing a housing renaissance. Along with new housing options come new entertainment and nightlife choices, such as the Jacksonville Musueum of Modern Art and the new main library, both surrounding Hemming Plaza. North of Springfield is lies the area known as North Jacksonville. It offers access to great shopping at the new River City Marketplace, an open air mall, anchored by a 14-screen movie theater.
